THIS WEBSITE IS DEDICATED TO MICHAEL LINSTROM AND THE COMMUNITY OF ARTISTS THAT HAVE STUDIED WITH HIM OVER THE YEARS...

Loosely referred to as "The Linstrom Group", his students have studied together and occasionally exhibit together.  Although their work is quite varied,  they are united in a love of color.  They tend to see art as a spiritual path and are focused on continual growth in artistic expression.  Art is viewed as non-competitive since each person has a unique inspiration that no one else could express.

Michael Linstrom, Judith Peterson and Anna Lee Steed all exhibit their paintings at the Los Gatos Museums Gallery in Los Gatos, California.  The address is 24 N. Santa Cruz Avenue in Los Gatos, a suburb of San Jose, CA.

Anna Lee Steed has an exhibit of her seascape paintings at Marv Anderson's Gallery in Moss Landing beginning in June 2011.

MICHAEL LINSTROM

Michael has been an "art coach" for over three decades and has influenced scores of artists.  Many have gone on to professional careers and credit Michael as their primary instructor.  By teaching the principles of fine art, Michael has been able to bring students along to the professional level in portraiture, abstraction, landscape and still life. Over the years his popular "Color Workshops" have been an inspiration to many advanced painters.  Michael is actively teaching workshops and additionally offers private lessons to committed students. Michael and Anna Lee Steed will be offering a "Certificate Program in Color" beginning in 2012.  Please see the events page for more information about the certificate program and upcoming workshops.

ANNA LEE STEED

Anna Lee has been actively teaching painting for the past five years.  In her classes and workshops she teaches both abstract and referential painting, always with a focus on color.  She teaches both oil and acrylic.  Based on her studies with Michael and other artists, Anna Lee has innovated several unique approaches to color.  She enjoys teaching the principles of art and color composition through many varied painting projects.  Her aim is to expand the student's experience with color.  Anna Lee  is a frequent demonstrator at local art clubs and exhibits at the Los Gatos Museums Gallery in Los Gatos, CA.

NEW!!!  Michael and Anna Lee have developed a comprehensive "CERTIFICATE COURSE IN COLOR". This is a series of twelve two-day workshops which offers three sequential levels of study.  It is a "learn-by doing" system which introduces the student to many new experiences with color.
